Art has always been a part of Ann Louise Rosensohn's life.  Her grandfather was an artist, as is her father, and she spent countless hours as a child drawing and creating.  She studied drawing while at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, and began to paint seriously when she attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City.  She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1981, and continued to live and paint in New York until she moved to Essex with her husband in 1988.

In 1993, Ann Louise began to paint in watercolor.  " I feel so fortunate to live in this area where the landscape is a constant inspiration.  It is seeing the beauty and the color in the world around me every day that makes me want to paint."

Ann Louise's work has been exhibited at the National Arts Club in New York City, The Essex Art Association, Open Arts Center in Old Saybrook, and the Cooley Gallery in Old Lyme. She has also been commissioned to paint many informal portraits in watercolor.

Chris Foster began taking photographs at the age of seven
with a Kodak Instamatic camera.  While his family was
living in Sao Paolo, Brazil, between 1974 and '76, he began
to document excursions all over South America, from
Brazil to Argentina to Machu Pichu in Peru. In 1980
Chris saved enough money from his paper route to
purchase his first SLR 35mm camera.  He spent summers
at Camp Dudley in the Adirondack region of New York
State where he discovered his love for black & white
photography and outdoor scenery. He later worked in
the photography lab at The University of Maine-Orono,
teaching basics of b&w darkroom processing. Then,
after graduating from Boston University, he ventured
into a career in business.

These recent photographs mark the beginning of a
rekindled devotion to his early passions for
photography and travel.  Dramatic images of land,
water and sky from Harkness State park to Black Point
are displayed for your enjoyment and to give you a
sense of freedom and serenity. They are professionally
dry-mounted, matted and framed for your convenience.
All are available for sale, framed or unframed, and
Chris will discuss with you the size and framing style
of each order to suit your needs. Also contact Chris
for commissioned custom photography. Contact Chris at
